Our Partnership with PULSE

This year, BSA is thrilled to launch a partnership with the renowned Boston College PULSE Program. The mission of PULSE is to educate BC students by putting them into direct contact with marginalized populations and social change organizations. The goal of PULSE is to foster critical consciousness and enable students to question conventional wisdom and learn how to work for a just society. The majority of the students enrolled in PULSE take a twelve-credit, year-long, core-level course entitled Personal and Social Responsibility. Three BSA Zones have been carefully selected as field placements for 17 PULSE students. During this year-long program, students will forge critical and compassionate perspectives on the plight of Boston’s urban youth, the Boston Public School Sytem, and themselves as members of the community.
